The Best is yet to be

Giving our very best is how we see ourselves. This is truly a real challenge for most today. We want to be helpful, yet often it is with the used clothes, the old shoes, the cheap food. Is that really who we want to be? I have often wondered why we give our junk to goodwill and feel like we've done something great. Of course, it's better than throwing away, but wouldn't it be better to give new, directly to those in need? It's an approach that is telling, for sure. We justify what we do, and that's okay I guess. It's the expectation we have that God will bless us because we rid ourselves of old junk that is the real issue. I suppose that is why there is so much apathy today. We just don't give our best.
